“What of Art?
-It is a malady.
-The fashionable substitute for Belief.
–You are a skeptic.
-Never! Skepticism is the beginning of Faith.
–What are you?
-To define is to limit.”
-Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
About the Blog
The Ink Project is an art/literary blog that showcases writing pieces– including poetry, short fiction, literary analysis, and notes regarding my take on various subjects– and artworks. This blog aims to provide a space in which I seek to share my passions and interaction with readers.
About the Author
I am a sophomore in high school with an avid passion for art and literature. I currently take the role of editor-in-chief for my school’s literary and arts magazine, and I would like to use this blog as a platform to not only share my work but also to gain new perspectives from like-minded individuals. To me, language is an art with which expression can be portrayed in its highest form; I fully intend to acquire the insight and knowledge for personal growth and self-discovery in this field.
I consider myself a feminist and am interested in queer/gender/race theory.
